Summary

After graduating from high school, Rui, Ka Men, and Carl join the Federal Army. Carl becomes a pilot, Ka Men joins the intelligence department, and Rui joins the Mobile Infantry School. Rui's team member is killed during a live-fire training exercise, and he is punished. He considers leaving the army but decides to stay after learning that his family was killed in a meteorite attack by the Arachnid species. The Federal Army launches a war against the Arachnids, and Rui joins the fight. On Planet P, a mobile task force led by Lan De Er emerges from a spatial rift and attacks the Arachnids. The task force is equipped with advanced weaponry and armor. They discover a breached military fortress and learn that the Arachnids are using parasites to control human soldiers.
