Summary

After the autumn festival, Li Shishi received a valuable painting from Ning Yi, which made her feel resentful due to their lack of recent meetings. As the oiran of the courtesans, she was busy with a poetry gathering and involved in the investigation of Tong Shu Er’s murder case, which united the courtesans against a common enemy. Despite the pressure on the Kaifeng magistrate, Shishi and her companions remained determined to seek justice. Ning Yi's absence from gatherings left her unsettled, and her friends expressed concern over his focus on business during a famine. Eventually, Shishi visited the Ning residence, but Ning Yi was still occupied. Meanwhile, Emperor Jinghan, disguised, visited the Red Lantern hoping to see Shishi, but she was not there.
