Chapter 50: Wild Thunder (1). [101]

Summary

Zhu Jie, a narrow-minded governor, seizes an opportunity to mock Chu Tian, a commoner, in front of the noble families at the Mei Xue Spirit Pavilion. He ridicules Chu Tian for not appreciating the delicacies of nobility, while his supporters laugh and jeer. Despite the humiliation, Chu Tian remains calm, contemplating the value of the fish before him. Zhu Jie boasts about his virtues and future success after eating the golden-scaled carp, while Zhou Liu Yun revels in Chu Tian's disgrace, seeking to spiritually torment him as revenge for his father's death. Zhou Liu Yun requests Lu Gu to play a cheerful piece, but she refuses, subtly mocking him instead. This angers Zhou Liu Yun and his disciples, leading to a confrontation where Lu Gu stands her ground. When an academy disciple attempts to attack her, Chu Jie intervenes, feigning righteousness to criticize Zhou Liu Yun's teaching. The scene escalates as Zhou Liu Yun suddenly collapses, leaving everyone shocked.
