Summary

The Taoist priest visits the Yama to investigate the murder of his disciple, Li Wen Jing. After confirming Li's death, the priest learns that Li was killed by a thief but lacks details about the assailant. Li's spirit, shackled and tormented, pleads for vengeance. The priest vows to find the killer after receiving news that the assailant is a fellow cultivator. Meanwhile, in State City, scholars recover from a night of drinking, unaware of the brewing tensions. Yun Niang observes the scholars through a magical mirror, noting the significant auras surrounding Yu Guang Mao and Pei Zi Yun, hinting at their potential success.
