Chapter 50: Lan Ruoting Harmed Me. [49]

Summary

Shang Chao Zong was furious upon learning of his arranged marriage to Feng Ruo Nan, a general's daughter, without his knowledge or consent. His anger subsided when Lan Ruo Ting suggested the marriage might be related to borrowing troops. Shang Chao Zong and his sister, Shang Shu Qing, were baffled by the possibility of Feng Ling Bo marrying his daughter to Shang Chao Zong, given their current situation. They decided to investigate further and headed to the county city. Meanwhile, Niu You Dao was confronted by Peng Yu Lan, Feng Ruo Nan's mother, who had discovered a wager between Niu You Dao, Feng Ruo Nan, and Yuan Gang. Peng Yu Lan was furious and demanded repayment of 100,000 gold coins. Niu You Dao tried to reason with her, claiming he hadn't lost the wager and couldn't be forced to repay. The situation remained unresolved as Shang Chao Zong's group approached the county city.
