Chapter 5: The Mansion of Wuchuan. [8]
Summary
Zhang Xuan presents a gold ingot and a bronze plaque to Wang Bodang, who expresses gratitude for Zhang's earlier delivery of a letter to Luo Yang. Wang asks Zhang for details about the situation regarding Li Mi, particularly emphasizing Li Mi's injury in battle and the release of Yang Xuan Gan by Yu Wen Shu. Wang believes this information is crucial and requests Zhang to accompany him to Wu Chuan Academy for further discussion regarding Li Mi's will. Upon arriving at Wu Chuan Academy, Zhang observes the grandeur of the school, which was established to cultivate talented students. As he explores, he enters a classroom where he finds a paper with a topic written by Li Mi. Suddenly, a young girl in warrior attire confronts him, questioning his presence in a "forbidden area." After a tense exchange, an elder intervenes, supporting Zhang's point about hospitality. The elder, recognizing Zhang as the messenger for Li Mi, expresses regret over Li Mi's unfinished work and invites Zhang to share his thoughts on the topic.Full content
