Summary

Hu Li expresses gratitude to Yang Ling for saving her, but he coldly insists it's his duty. Despite her charm and interest in him, he dismisses her, aware of their different worlds. Upon returning home after eight years, Yang Ling is met with emotional reunions, particularly with his adopted grandfather, Pang Pei Chen, who is now frail. Yang Ling learns of family troubles, including debt and threats from creditors against his grandfather and sister Sun Yi Rui.
