Summary

A newcomer informs Fang Shi Zong Guan that a ceremonial procession has departed for Sha Qiu. The Zong Guan rushes there, only to find the city surrounded by Imperial Guards. Wu Mian, accompanying him, suspects a significant change may be occurring with the First Emperor. Inside, Wu Mian is presented with a toxic elixir for immortality. He recognizes it as deadly and, seizing the moment, confronts the Zong Guan. In the ensuing chaos, he consumes the elixir, leading to his death. Meanwhile, news of the Emperor's recovery and plans to continue with the procession circulates, leaving Wu Mian's fate sealed as the steward orders his burial.
