Summary

Li Tianming and his mother move into a dilapidated courtyard in Li Huo City after being expelled from the Lord's mansion. He plans to leave once he obtains the 'Yuan Huang Ling' for entry into Yan Huang Academy. After his mother falls asleep, he interacts with his companion beast, a little yellow chicken, which is eager to consume the 'spiritual ore' they received as a part of their family assets. This spiritual ore, particularly the 'precious jade,' is valuable for beast tamers, containing immense spiritual energy. Li Tianming lays out their wealth, including 200 pieces of fire jade and 50 pieces of gold jade. The little yellow chicken, however, shows little regard for its value, consuming the precious jade as if it were candy. Surprisingly, Li Tianming discovers he can also digest the spiritual ore, which enhances his cultivation. They both realize that consuming the spiritual ore directly is more effective than refining it, leading to rapid growth in their beast essence. As they eat, they discuss the little yellow chicken's past as an ancient chaotic behemoth and its potential to regain power.
