Summary

In the wilderness near Qing Deng Temple, Su Ping Ping confronts Su Bai, who harbors resentment for past grievances. Su Bai, determined and dismissive, leaves for Luoyang City with his army. Meanwhile, in the city, Emperor Chen's health deteriorates, leading to his death. Qi Wang seizes the opportunity to claim the throne, but the Crown Prince accuses him of forging the imperial edict. Tensions rise as Qi Wang asserts his authority, commanding the guards to detain the prince. The Empress calls for verification of the edict's authenticity, but Qi Wang counters her concerns. Just then, Ji Jiu, a respected scholar, arrives, raising questions about his allegiance.
