Summary

The protagonist, Wu Jiu, encounters the King of Cycles in the underworld and negotiates a two-month deadline to retrieve the Cycle Stone. He swears an oath to find the stone or face severe consequences. The King of Cycles returns Cui Zuo Fei's soul, and Wu Jiu awakens in a hospital. He is reunited with his brother and Liu Yu Di but remains concerned about finding Meng Yi, the Hopping Vampire who possesses the Cycle Stone. The experience has left him contemplative about life, death, and the differences between the mortal world and the underworld.
