Summary

In a misty mountain setting, Xuanzang encounters a female demon who captures him, believing he will marry her. The demon, pleased with his words, plans to celebrate his return. As Xuanzang escapes, he meets two demons, Donkey in the Wild and Mouse in the Mountain, who possess unexpected wealth in gold. They decide to wait outside the capital, allowing Xuanzang and a queen to venture in for supplies. As they attract attention, mockery ensues, leading to Xuanzang's disciple, Pigsy, slapping those who insult them. This confrontation highlights the juxtaposition of Xuanzang’s calm demeanor against the chaos stirred by the demons and the crowd's reactions.
