Summary

Jiang Er, a ghostly maiden and a Night Watcher, opens her eyes and stands up in vigilance upon seeing several figures. Lin Qi Ye reassures her that they are Night Watchers and not from the Cult. Jiang Er examines Lin Qi Ye's emblem and recognizes him as the top genius of the new recruits three years ago. She reveals that she was also the top recruit last year and had heard of Lin Qi Ye during her training camp. Jiang Er then shares her experience of more than ten days ago when a man with a dog entered their office. The man claimed that his brother died due to the foreman's cost-cutting measures at a construction site and wanted to commission them to seek justice. However, Jiang Er and her colleagues soon realized that something was off about the man and his dog. When they exposed the man's lies, he let go of the dog's leash, and the dog transformed into a huge, terrifying monster that resembled an earth dragon. The monster charged towards them, and Jiang Er's consciousness and spirit survived in the form of a magnetic field after her body was torn apart. She then learned about her true ability to manipulate magnetic fields and transform her consciousness and spirit. Jiang Er heard the conversation between the man and the dog, who referred to the dog as the First Seat, indicating its Cult origins.
