Summary

Zhang Shun, a naval commander of the Qianxia Dynasty, requests to lead the Blood Flood Army into the water for reconnaissance against sea monsters, which are seen as a minor threat compared to the intelligence about foreign races. Despite his abilities and the strength of his troops, Zhang Shun's mission goes awry as they fall into an ambush set by alien races utilizing military formations. He returns injured, having lost a third of his forces, and reveals that the enemy is the Sea Tribe, a formidable opponent that can command sea monsters. Qi Ji Guang, his superior, assesses the situation and prepares defenses while reflecting on the human race's past superiority over the Sea Tribe. Meanwhile, in a separate passage, the Dark Blood alien race observes the human presence and plots to capture them for their valuable souls. The chapter concludes with a warning to the aliens to be cautious, as the humans have demonstrated significant power by destroying a Mountain Ghost Clan passage.
