Summary

A lightning strike hits Wu Lao Er, who pushes Luo Si Wei and Zhao Lian Bing away. The lightning engulfs him in flames, yet he remains unharmed. After extinguishing the fire, he stands naked, bewildered. As the guards react, Zhao Lian Bing wraps him in a uniform and insists he is the State Master. Wu Lao Er reveals the lightning targeted a Buddha statue, not him. Investigating the scene, he finds burnt corpses with marks indicating they were struck by the lightning meant for the statues. The deceased, a gardener and a maid, had discovered the statues previously. Zhang Zuo Lin orders an investigation, fearing for others who may possess similar statues.
