Summary
When Shen Xi was helping his mother Zhou and aunt Hui Niang at the pharmacy, an imperial envoy appointed by the court was scheduled to visit Hui Niang, known as the "Divine Doctor," the next day. To prepare, Hui Niang dressed elegantly, catching Shen Xi's attention with her rare display of beauty. As people flocked to the pharmacy, Shen Xi complimented Hui Niang, playfully suggesting he'd want to marry a wife as beautiful as her when he grows up. However, Hui Niang reminded him he was meant for Lin Dai. Meanwhile, the young Lu Xi Er innocently declared her desire to marry Shen Xi when she's older. Shen Xi, though only 2 years older, showed maturity by bribing the girls with candy to appease them. Lin Dai grew jealous when Shen Xi gave candy to Lu Xi Er, refusing his offer, hinting at her budding feelings for him despite their young age.Full content
