Summary

White Lotus wakes up in her room, shaken by a nightmare. After a brief moment of confusion, she gets out of bed and joins Lu Chen and Old Ma in the courtyard. They discuss an investigation into an old matter, and White Lotus expresses her desire to accompany Lu Chen during his work. They visit a prison where remnants of a demonic cult are held. Despite the grim atmosphere, White Lotus remains composed and insists on helping Lu Chen. They enter the interrogation room, where Lu Chen expresses concern for her well-being, but White Lotus reveals her fear of being deemed useless and killed by their master, Tian Lan Zhen. Lu Chen is taken aback by her desperation, and as they exit the prison, Old Ma notices White Lotus's unsettling demeanor and bloodstains on her robe, hinting at the dark events that transpired inside.
