Summary

Wang An Zhong arrives at a trial and is surprised to find influential figures, including Cai Jing and Liang Shi Cheng, present. He realizes the case has become an unchangeable situation and feels pressured to sign off on its conclusion. The trial reveals that the main suspect falsely implicated Commander Pan Yue, leading to the case's closure after a year. Liang Shi Cheng informs Wang An Zhong of an impeachment against him for misusing Censors, but Cai Jing provides an excuse to protect him. Wang An Zhong recognizes he has been misled by Wang Fu and vows to seize this opportunity to turn things around. The next day, Liang Zhong Dou and Zheng Zhi impeach Wang Fu for dereliction of duty, which affects his standing with Emperor Zhao Ji. The Emperor decides to appoint Fan Zhi Xu as Prime Minister and Deng Yong as Deputy Censor, marking a shift in power dynamics and halting Wang Fu's ambitions. The ruling on the Lin Lingsu assassination case leads to executions and the release of Pan Yue, while Wang Fu's influence wanes.
