Summary

Xu Liao felt a chill at the mention of "overseas order." He had unresolved cases from when he took over the police department, including an assassination attempt and the theft of the Mysterious Sky Treasure Mirror. He suspected a connection between the overseas battle beast order and these events. Chang Sheng Zi informed him that the battle beast was infused with Nine Heavens energy but the client's identity was unknown. After receiving the battle beast, Xu Liao used his abilities to deduce that the person cultivating Nine Heavens energy was in Antarctica. He invited Qu Lei for coffee, hoping to avoid running into Bai Qiu Lian. When they met, Qu Lei was unresponsive, but Xu Liao presented her with gifts: the battle beast and a powerful banner. Qu Lei, despite her initial coolness, accepted the gifts, realizing her feelings for Xu Liao amidst the challenges they faced.
