Summary

Han Gang, after a speech at Wang Anshi's residence, awaits the impact of his words on reform. He visits Da Xiang Guo Temple, a marketplace disguised as a temple, seeking capable monks but finds them distracted by modern life. Eventually, Han Gang receives his official document, reflecting on the bureaucratic struggles he faced to obtain it. Despite the lightness of the pouch, he contemplates the weight of his efforts and the impending challenges in the court. His friend Lu Ming congratulates him, acknowledging the difficulty of their journey to official positions.
