Calamities in Journey to the West? My heart and form are both void.

Chapter 467: Meeting Jiro. [467]

Summary

Wu Kong reflects on the chilling possibility that even powerful figures like the Jade Emperor and Laozi may not have answers to his doubts. Nezha comforts him, aware that acceptance of the truth may matter more than the truth itself. They discuss a mischievous monkey causing trouble in the Heavenly King's residence, leading to humorous consequences. Wu Kong and Nezha decide to visit a friend, Yang Jian, despite Wu Kong's reservations. Upon arrival, Yang Jian acknowledges Wu Kong's admirable deeds, hinting at the impact he has had on the world. Wu Kong, however, remains modest, revealing he has given away much of his merit and fortune, implying that his actions were self-serving rather than altruistic.
