Summary

Liu Gan, the new chief of the Ji Hu tribe, presents the headless corpse of Liang Shi Dou as a token of allegiance to the Tang army, led by Li Chao. After a chaotic night raid, Liu Gan learns that the Tang army had decapitated Liang Shi Dou amidst their troops. Impressed by Li Chao's cunning, Liu Gan and the Ji Hu leaders pledge their loyalty. Li Chao appoints Liu Gan as Inspector of the Right Wing Troops, a title he created, and integrates the Ji Hu warriors into the Tang military structure. They agree on a prisoner exchange for silk, with Liu Gan eager to capture Lingwu. The alliance between the Ji Hu and Tang strengthens, setting the stage for further military actions against the Liang forces.
