Summary

Zhang Xuan returns home at dusk and is surprised to find Xin Yu, a maiden from the grasslands, in his arms, crying. Confused and embarrassed, he learns that she has come to Jiang Du to find him. His wife, Lu Qing, watches with resentment, but Zhang Chuchen intervenes, allowing Xin Yu to go inside. After changing, Zhang Xuan speaks with Lu Qing, who reassures him that Xin Yu has explained everything. Later, Lu Qing questions Zhang Xuan about his feelings for Xin Yu and Wu Niang, another woman who has shown affection for him. Lu Qing suggests that Wu Niang deserves compassion, as she has no family. The conversation shifts to the imminent threat from the Turks, as Xin Yu reveals that the grassland alliance is a trap. Zhang Xuan rushes to the military camp to address the situation, while Lu Qing and Zhang Chuchen discuss the implications of Xin Yu's arrival and Zhang Xuan's feelings.
