Chapter 46: Snake Skin. [374]

Summary

A bamboo raft carried Qiu Da Mei and others along a river until they reached a cliff area near Crane Beak Peak. Despite the lack of visible paths, Qiu Da Mei assured them there was a way through dense vegetation. She warned of wild beasts, particularly snakes, referencing local myths. Upon discovering numerous snake skins near a mountain crack, fear gripped the group, especially Sun Pang Zi. Despite their hesitation, they followed the leaders into the gap, where Sun Pang Zi revealed they were searching for a wanted criminal hiding in the area. As they progressed, they found the path clear of snake skins, leading them toward Crane Beak Peak, where further decisions awaited.
