Summary

In "A Strange Affair," Kirin attempts to open the Gate of the End using eleven runic totems, but ultimately fails, revealing the scene as an illusion from his memories. Disappointed yet relieved, Gao Yang and Suzaku return to reality. They share a light-hearted conversation while driving, but their mood shifts when they encounter a crowd of entranced individuals at an intersection, all fixated on the sky. As they approach, the crowd begins to chant for "Mother," with one man becoming increasingly agitated, culminating in a disturbing display of emotion as he starts to levitate.
