Summary

On the 7th of July, during the Qiqiao Festival, young ladies from prominent families gather at Jia Fu to celebrate, enjoy poetry, and pray for good husbands. Among them is Lin Xinghe, anxious about her fiancé Du Yu, who is preoccupied with books. Despite her reluctance, she becomes the center of attention as the other ladies admire Du Yu’s poetry. Their playful teasing leaves her embarrassed, as they recite love poems attributed to him. The gathering highlights the competitive spirit among the women, particularly between Lin Xinghe and Xue Bao Chai, who schemes to undermine her. As the poetry session unfolds, tensions rise, especially for Jia Yu, who is secretly listening and feels overshadowed by Du Yu's affection for Lin Xinghe.
