Summary

Li Cheng Qian, the Crown Prince, is approached by his generals, Luo Ba Dao and He Gan Cheng Ji, who report about a wealthy widow from Shu seeking assistance in Chang'an. Despite his initial anxiety about potential threats to his position, Li Cheng Qian is intrigued by the widow's beauty and wealth. His uncle, Li Yuan Ze, warns him about the dangers of desire, emphasizing the importance of self-cultivation. The Crown Prince, however, remains focused on the potential benefits of aligning with the widow, seeing her as a means to strengthen his position. Meanwhile, Li Tai plots against him, preparing to catch him in a compromising situation.
