Summary

Ouyang Ming is confronted with a bizarre request to subdue the insect race spirit beasts, which he finds nonsensical. He explains to General Lao Bo Yi that he can only assist in exterminating them, not subduing them. Upon entering a grand estate, they meet Qian Miao Daoist, a powerful middle-aged woman who recognizes Ouyang Ming. She recalls a past encounter and mentions a promise made with her old friend, Chen Di Shou, for their disciples to compete. Qian Miao Daoist insists that Jiang Jiu Mei, Ouyang Ming's companion, must duel him. Despite initial hesitation, Jiang Jiu Mei agrees, and they prepare for the match in a martial arts training ground. Ouyang Ming summons a spear from his spatial bag, signaling the start of their duel.
