Summary

An Zheng encounters Zhou Shen, who seems changed after years apart. Zhou Shen acknowledges a resemblance to someone he knew, but denies any connection. An Zheng reveals he is investigating strange occurrences near the border, prompting Zhou Shen to express concern and agree to send someone to investigate. An Zheng, aware of Zhou Shen's suspicious demeanor, decides to stay in An Gu City. He later meets Zhou Zi Jian, the Chief Inspector, who offers poisoned water during their journey. An Zheng feigns illness to extract information, but Zhou Zi Jian insists that An Zheng's inquiries disrupt the peace of An Gu City, revealing a sinister motive behind their actions.
