Summary

An Zheng, feeling dazed, learns about the ancient Soil of Rest, a rare treasure capable of controlling floods. As he journeys through Da Xi, he encounters a desolate village populated by "dough people," lifelike figures that seem to repeat daily tasks without awareness. The eerie atmosphere deepens as he observes children and adults with unnatural smiles and tattered clothing. An Zheng discovers that all 236 villagers are made of dough, leading him to question the dark secrets behind their existence.
