Chapter 437: Following Along to Li Shuang Shuang's Hometown, Are the Ancients Still Savages? [436]

Summary

Gu Xi Zhi is confused about Wen Nuo's sudden appearance at Gu Jia and his decision to stay with them. Meanwhile, Gu Xi Zhi and Li Shuang Shuang visit Li's father in the hospital, and after confirming his good health, they head to Li Shuang Shuang's hometown. Wen Nuo insists on joining them, despite Gu Xi Zhi's reservations about his intentions. Upon arriving in the village, they admire the scenery and the villas that have been built in recent years. The village is famous for its bayberries, which have become a nationally recognized agricultural product. Li Shuang Shuang's family had moved to the city, but her father had planned to return to the village to grow bayberries once his children went to college. The group visits the mountain where Li Shuang Shuang's father had an accident, which is located at the edge of the village. The mountain is largely untouched and has a primitive state, making it a challenging place for cultivation. They meet up with Zhang Qi and his group, who are living like ancient people, hunting and cooking their own food. Gu Xi Zhi is amused by their appearance and takes pictures of them. As they prepare to settle in for the night, a voice calls out from the woods, looking for someone named Qiang Zi. Wen Nuo's expression changes, and he smiles, hinting that he might be connected to the person being called.
