Summary

A team of about 110 people, mainly Xiongnu with some Han leaders, embarked on a journey to locate the ancient city of Chidan. Among them were Wu Mian and Gui Bu Gui, guided by Zhong Hangshuo, a Han eunuch trusted by the Xiongnu chieftain. Despite the harsh desert conditions, Wu Mian used magic to create a more comfortable environment for the group. After a night of feasting on roasted sheep, they arrived at their destination only to find the ancient city buried by a recent sandstorm. Excavation would require thousands of people and take a year and a half, prompting Gui Bu Gui to seek a faster solution with the help of a young boy, Ren San.
