Summary

In a tense nighttime encounter, the narrator brutally confronts a group of captors, severing a woman's hand and subduing the men. After Big Mao's intervention stops further violence, the narrator focuses on saving his wounded comrade. With no medical supplies, he performs an improvised surgery using a fruit knife and liquor, carefully extracting a bullet from Big Mao's chest wound.
