Summary

In front of the Da Hong Hu courtyard, Yan Xu converses with Fox Hu envoys while Su Bai, standing behind, feels ignored. After the envoys depart, Su Bai recalls a promise to a friend regarding a thousand-household officer from the Black Water Army, Du Qianhu. Yan Xu acknowledges Du Qianhu's reputation and warns Su Bai about his temper. Later, Su Bai visits his master, Sima Zhen, at the Sima residence, where he cleans the messy yard. They discuss Su Bai's recent injury, and Sima Zhen gives him a scroll revealing buried historical truths about the Chen Kingdom, shocking Su Bai. Sima Zhen advises caution as Su Bai prepares to enter the court, expressing hope for a significant change in the future.
