Summary

In the midst of a rainy night, Bao Yu feels gloomy after Dai Yu's discontent with his antics. As the clan school exam approaches, Bao Yu's performance declines, ranking 16th out of 23. Jia Zheng, enjoying leisure time with friends, receives a report about Bao Yu's poor results from Mr. Luo, the teacher. Despite his frustrations, Jia Zheng is invited to a parent-teacher meeting to discuss Bao Yu's education. Meanwhile, preparations are underway for Bao Yu and the ladies to move to the Grand View Garden. As the examination date nears, an anxious atmosphere envelops the Jia household, with Bao Yu distracted by playful interactions with the maids.
