Summary

Mei Lun battles against an endless wave of mud puppet warriors, relying on Nessus for guidance as they navigate through a mysterious formation. They quickly transition from a battlefield to a serene courtyard filled with maidens, before exiting the formation and discovering a massive chessboard. After claiming a reward in the form of a pendant and a method of inheritance, Mei Lun prepares for ascension to demigod status. Moving to the fifth level of Jin Ding Shan, Mei Lun encounters a trial focused on martial arts comprehension, where he and Spike choose a path to cultivate a technique called "The All-Phenomena Guide." Spike successfully defeats a projection of himself after mastering the technique in a fraction of the expected time. They continue to face and conquer various trials, with Spike earning the status of an inner sect disciple after completing the comprehension trials. As they advance to the sixth level, they find themselves in a desolate area with seventeen towers, each linked to powerful figures from Jin Ding Shan. They aim to complete the trials of these towers, pushing aside their initial mission to retrieve the Wan Yao Ling, drawn instead by the opportunity to become core disciples. They are particularly captivated by a majestic golden tower that stands tall amidst the clouds, radiating an aura of sanctity and awe.
