Summary

Chen Ling arrives at an auction venue, where he is greeted by Gu Kai Xian, the manager, who informs him that the assessment of his consigned items will take a few days. As Chen Ling enters the auction hall, tensions rise between Zong Wen and Lu Yuan Zheng, revealing underlying conflicts among the consortiums. Inside, Chen Ling requests a list of gold items and newspapers from the past two years. However, he finds the newspapers filled with gossip and scandals, lacking serious news, which frustrates him. He eventually discovers a few articles addressing critical issues, but they are from a now-defunct newspaper, leading him to reflect on the superficiality of the media in the Red Dust realm.
