Summary

Xiao Fan and Guo Hong explored upstream for resources, planning to dig a larger pond in their cave for fish. Xiao Fan, accepted as a leader, proposed building a bridge for easier river crossing. Despite doubts about lacking tools, they made a bet on its feasibility. Their exploration yielded little, except for a flock of ducks and later, a dozen chickens, which they couldn't catch. Xiao Fan planned to set traps for the chickens, inspired by survival shows, as they sought to diversify their diet after weeks of fish and cassava.
