Chapter 42: The Undercurrents Between Farewell and Reunion. [41]
Summary
In this chapter, Hiratsuka Shizuka and Oikawa Toru engage in a conversation about a child they both seem to have mixed feelings about. Oikawa acknowledges that he doesn't plan to help the child, believing the situation has resolved itself without his involvement. As they drive back to Sobu High School, Hiratsuka reflects on Oikawa's apparent disdain for the child, while Oikawa tries to change the subject to avoid further discussion. Upon returning, they find the group has awakened from their slumber in the car. Oikawa is surprised by the success of his light novel "Your Lie in April," having received substantial payments since its launch. He expresses excitement about the royalties and inquires about an upcoming event, hoping to avoid public appearances. Kagurasaka Asagao informs him that he will need to sign 500 copies of his book for promotional purposes, which frustrates Oikawa, who feels overwhelmed by the request.Full content
