Summary

Li Yan Qing receives five thousand troops led by Liu Qi as support, officially promoting him to Military Capital Commander. He meets several commanders and emphasizes the importance of following his orders for a successful campaign against the Liangshan forces in Yungzhou. Li Yan Qing plans an ambush, knowing that the Liangshan army is sending reinforcements north. As they prepare, scouts report that about twenty thousand Liangshan troops are nearby. Li Yan Qing encourages his commanders, and they set up an ambush along the official road. The Liangshan army, led by the impulsive commander Shi Jin, approaches, unaware of the trap waiting for them.
