Summary

In a snowy mountain landscape, a group of knights, led by Chen Xi, navigates treacherous terrain while on patrol. They aim to capture Heng'an soldiers for interrogation but face challenges due to the harsh conditions. As they ascend a steep ravine, they discover Heng'an troops already positioned at the summit. Chen Xi contemplates the futility of their mission, reflecting on the indifference of their leaders towards civilian lives. Stealthily, he approaches a sentinel, intending to capture a live prisoner. However, he is startled to find that the lookout is a young girl from the Nine Surnames Tatar, who seems to have anticipated his arrival.
