Summary

Cai Quan, the old gatekeeper, confessed to murdering caregivers at a welfare home and was initially sentenced to death. However, mental illness led to his life imprisonment instead. An audio file of his interrogation revealed he was searching for someone from the water, but the recording malfunctioned, leaving only his eerie repetition of "He's right in this room." As Ning Qiushui listened, he became aware of a ghostly presence in his apartment, with water overflowing from the bathroom. After a tense escape, he closed the main water valve, silencing the spirit. He called Zhao Er for help, who advised him to wait and be cautious, as he might have been marked by the vengeful spirit.
