Chapter 411: Killed a Royal Father-in-law. [411]
Summary
Zhe Ji Min, the Supreme Commander of the Zhe family troops, allied with the Dai Zhou defenders and launched a surprise attack on Ying Zhou, advancing towards the Liao Kingdom's western capital. The battlefield was chaotic, with Great Song soldiers showing unprecedented initiative. Pang Ji supported Zhe Ji Min while negotiating with the Western Xia for an alliance to stabilize the front. Wang Liang Jing, having prepared for eight years, arrived at Yushu Town, capturing Liao soldiers without executing them. After resting, he swiftly moved westward and found heavy Yuan troops at Ying Zhou, where he learned of Xiao Lu's plans to attack Cang Zhou. As Xiao Lu faced a snowstorm, he prepared for battle, confident in his cavalry. However, Wang Liang Jing's army, well-prepared and armored, charged decisively. The Liao soldiers, initially confident, were quickly overwhelmed by the Wang cavalry's ferocity. Xiao Lu attempted to counter with his strongest warriors, including the formidable Xiao Shan, but they fell before the might of Wang's forces. The battle culminated with Wang Liang Jing piercing Xiao Lu with a spear, marking a significant victory for the Great Song.Full content
