Summary

Ye Lu Zhong Yuan realizes he has been deceived by Wang Ning An, who plans to take advantage of Zhong Yuan's family and troops. Despite his anger, Zhong Yuan decides to send his family to the Song Dynasty to avoid a gruesome fate at the hands of Ye Lu Hong Ji. An elderly man, Wang Xiang, desperately seeks to return his father's ashes to Cangzhou, revealing his father's history as a loyal soldier of the Great Song. His father, Wang Yong, had never surrendered to the Liao and had buried General Wang Gui after a battle. Wang De Yong learns of Wang Yong's past and the connection to General Wang Gui, leading to hope for the reunification of their legacies. Wang Xiang laments his sons' choices to serve the Liao, feeling ashamed of their disconnection from their heritage. However, with the return to the Great Song, he vows to embrace his roots and ensure his family's legacy is honored.
