Summary

The Thorned Immortal discovers three abandoned warhorses belonging to enemy messengers and pursues them. He learns that Zhen clan practitioners are gathering herbs and orders their capture. The practitioners plead for mercy, claiming they need to help their families, but the Thorned Immortal insists they return first. A fight ensues, with the Thorned Immortal and his guards engaging the practitioners. The Zhen clan practitioner fights fiercely to protect his comrades, urging them to escape while he holds off the Thorned Immortal and Shuang Feng Xian. After a fierce battle, both Shuang Feng Xian and a training camp warrior are killed, and the Zhen clan practitioner dies shortly after. The Thorned Immortal orders the bodies returned to camp, where Elder Guandou mourns Shuang Feng Xian and reinforces defenses. Meanwhile, a training camp warrior reaches Wang Ji New City, exhausted, and reports his identity to the centurion, who ensures he receives care.
