Chapter 401: "Water Ghosts and Raging Waves: The Maritime Blood Battle of the Seven Dragon Clan". [403]

Summary

The navy of Zhao Ting faced harassment from water ghosts during training, leading to a significant loss when a large paddle ship sank. To combat this, Zhao Ting dispatched patrol boats and trained fishermen to mimic water ghosts. The Qi Long Da Zu navy excelled in naval combat, forcing Zhao Ting to adapt by using land soldiers on wooden boats for combat. Despite limited forces, Zhao Ting drafted laborers from non-royal tribes, but faced challenges due to a lack of able-bodied men. The Grand Minister and acting governor drafted guards from the Xia Hou family to bolster Wang Ji's forces, reducing the self-defense capabilities of the Xia Hou clans. Meanwhile, the Grand Duke of San Miao expanded his territory by subjugating the Zhen clan and taking their leader hostage. The dragon guard faced resistance from the Huai Shan clan but shifted focus to the Qi clan after suffering losses. The Xia Hou clan became trapped between the dragon guard and Guandou forces, leading to a strategic retreat. The Grand Tutor of Zhao Ting sought provisions from the Hong Shan clan, but the Grand Duke of San Miao cut off supply lines, isolating the Hong Shan clan. Zhao Ting's attempts to communicate with Taibao Zhen were thwarted, leading to panic as supplies were severed. Taibao Zhen sent skilled martial artists, along with two warriors from the training camp, to break through enemy lines and seek help from Zhao Ting.
