Summary

In a half-finished building in N City, three survivors—Ding Yi, Wang Zhi Zhong, and Wang Jia—take refuge from the zombie-infested streets. They plan to rest until dawn before continuing their journey to S City. As they eat and discuss their next steps, Ding Yi reflects on his family, feeling both excitement and anxiety. During the night, he observes a shadow outside, unsure if it’s human or an evolved zombie. After taking turns keeping watch, they prepare to leave the building. Ding Yi encounters a zombie at the entrance but decides against shooting it to avoid attracting more. The trio quietly escapes through a window, continuing their perilous journey.
