Summary

In a desolate wilderness, Su Bai and Little Carp sense danger as a carriage approaches. They witness a bloody confrontation where a general is killed by black-clad assassins pursuing the Crown Princess, Yan Cai Wei. As the assassins turn their attention to Su Bai and Little Carp, Su Bai, despite his fear, manages to kill one of them with a hatchet, aided by Big Yellow. After the fight, Su Bai grapples with the reality of taking a life, feeling fear and nausea. Yan Cai Wei, observing the scene, praises Su Bai's skills and cunning, questioning whether she should spare him.
