Chapter 4: Peach Garden. [6]
Summary
In a mud-brick house, Yue Chen interacts with Dai Er, a young girl he saved who lost her memory. She refers to him as "Young Master," which puzzles him. After his mother's death, his grandmother continues to care for orphans, including Dai Er, who helps ease the burden. Yue Chen reflects on his peach orchard, which is rumored to be haunted, and the potential of the trees he nurtures. He learns that the village chief wants to reclaim the orchard land for a pig farm, prompting him to rush home. At home, his grandmother prepares food, and Uncle Dazhu, who has supported Yue Chen's education, is present.Full content
