Summary

As news of the troop withdrawal spread, soldiers emerged from their tents, initially in shock. Gradually, anger and sorrow surfaced, leading many to mourn their fallen comrades at nearby graves, collecting loess to take home. Vice commanders reported the troop count, revealing a significant reduction in numbers. Li Hong Zhuang, the Supreme Commander, announced the troops would return home, evoking tears among the soldiers, who felt the presence of their deceased comrades. Despite the excitement, concerns arose about their replacements, particularly the young Li Hao. Li Hong Zhuang insisted on staying behind, knowing soldiers would want to remain with her. As the camp emptied, she reflected on the sacrifices made by her soldiers, determined to defend the city despite orders to abandon it. Li Hao, feeling the weight of the graves, contemplated his purpose beyond repaying a blood debt. He recognized his need for stronger cultivation to protect himself. While searching for food, he encountered a demon beast, which he skillfully defeated and prepared for a meal. He also created a battle flag for himself, inscribing it with the characters "Haotian," surprising Li Hong Zhuang, who learned of his Celestial Realm status.
